There are nine SMGs available for players to use in Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 3, and it is vital to use the best ones to succeed in the battle-royale game. The latest season has seen a host of changes, including upgrades to guns that can be found across Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and all new unlockables.
Various submachine guns have received nerfs for the new season, while others have received upgrades to try and even out the playing field. With custom loadouts, players can set up their favorite SMGs before dropping into the map, before purchasing them from the shops in-game, or by the loadout drops available to all. Additionally, due to the customization available, all the below SMGs can be tweaked, and attachments added to counteract any weaknesses.
9 FSS Hurricane
Of all the SMGs on the list, the FSS Hurricane in Warzone 2.0 resembles an Assault Rifle more than the rest. It has good damage and is fantastic from long range, making it a great alternative if players don’t already have an Assault Rifle when playing Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0. However, it struggles compared to the other SMGs available, especially in close-quarter scenarios.
The MiniBak is an SMG option with a large magazine, meaning it will take a long time before players need to reload. However, its damage and recoil are lower than its competitors, so for those who select the MiniBak, adding attachments to compensate for these will be vital. In addition, the Demo-X2 rear grip is a great option to help steady the MiniBak.
The BAS-P is the only SMG added after the launch of Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and is a solid all-around weapon without excelling in any category. Its strongest areas are its fire rate and having minimal recoil, but it struggles with its damage and mobility, which are important qualities required in SMGs. The first attachment players should add when using the BAS-P is the 10.5 Bruen Typhon to the Barrel, as it will significantly increase the damage the weapon can do.
6 Fennec 45
While not being as great an all-around SMG as those at the top of this list, the Fennec has the highest fire rate, which is its biggest strength. Unfortunately, the Fennec has received one of the biggest downgrades since the start of Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0. However, with its good accuracy and fire rate, it is still an excellent choice for players at close range inside buildings.
The MX9 is a middle option for players in the latest season of Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0 between the best close-range SMGs and an Assault Rifle. There are better options elsewhere for players who will use an aggressive style, but it still has a reasonable fire rate and mobility. The MX9 also has little recoil, meaning players won’t need to waste an attachment to steady the gun.
4 PDSW 528
The PDSW 528 has not been nerfed for the new Season of Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0, meaning the weapon formerly known as the P90 is still one of the best options for players that like to run with an SMG. It has low recoil giving it an edge over many of its competitors at long range while still being very effective in 1v1 fights close up. Additionally, players should look to add attachments that help improve the PDSW’s accuracy and handling.
The Vel 46 has been one of the best SMGs in Warzone 2.0 but has been one of the guns that have taken a slight drop in stats for the latest season. However, it is still a fantastic option with excellent mobility and is brilliant in close-range situations. The Vel 46 remains one of the best guns for beginners in Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0.
2 Lachmann Sub MP5
The Lachmann was previously the meta of SMGs in Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0; however, its damage is slightly lower than the top gun, as well as producing more recoil. On the other hand, the Lachmann has the largest default magazine of all the weapons on this list and has excellent mobility, giving it an edge in many scenarios. The MP5 has always been a hugely popular choice across the Call Of Duty franchise, and if players find it in Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0, it is a fantastic option.
As in the previous season, the Vaznek-9K remains the best SMG in Warzone 2.0. While it does not have the best stats in some categories, the Vaznek deals the most damage of all SMGs, making it ideal for all levels of players and taking fewer hits to kill enemies. As a result, it is the choice of SMG for professional Call of Duty players and is fantastic at both close and medium range.
A number of the SMGs are viable options for players in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 3, but the Vaznek-9K remains the best all-around weapon and one that can become even stronger when equipped with suitable attachments.
