In April, Luis Miguel surprised fans with the announcement of his 2023 tour, which will make stops in North and South America this summer and fall.
The 43-date stint, produced by Cárdenas Marketing Network (CMN Events) and Fenix Entertainment, kicks off Aug. 3 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and will visit major cities in the U.S. such as Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami and Los Angeles before wrapping up Dec. 17 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
This marks El Sol de Mexico’s (The Mexican Sun) first trek in years, following his México Por Siempre tour that ran from 2018 to 2019, grossing $101.4 million and selling 965,000 tickets across 116 shows, according to Billboard Boxscore. The México Por Siempre tour, which supported his Latin Grammy-winning album of the same name, was the highest-grossing Latin tour in Boxscore history until last year, when Bad Bunny‘s El Último Tour del Mundo and World’s Hottest Tour surpassed it.
While fans count down the days to see Luismi — one of Latin music’s biggest stars and one of the top vocalists of his generation — in concert, the Billboard Latin team curated a dream tour setlist featuring 16 of his biggest Billboard hits. Each of the songs on the list hit No. 1 on the coveted Hot Latin Songs chart, dating back to 1987, a year after the chart launched.
The list includes his first No. 1 hit on the chart, “Ahora Te Puedes Marchar” (1987); plus “La Incondicional,” which spent seven weeks at No. 1 in 1989; and “Tengo Todo Excepto a Ti,” which spent eight weeks at No. 1 in 1990, to name a few.

“Ahora Te Puedes Marchar”
Luis Miguel’s first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart arrived one year after the chart launched. With feel-good pop beats, this track is dedicated to those people who never learned how to love in a relationship.

“La Incondicional”
A heartfelt track about his one-and-only special lady and the unconditional love he feels for her, “La Incondicional” debuted at No. 32 in April 1989 and peaked at No. 1 a month later on the chart dated May 27, where it spent seven weeks at the top.

“Fria Como El Viento”
On the Hot Latin Songs chart dated Oct. 21, 1989, “Fria Como El Viento” (Cold Like the Wind) is a song for those women who are free, indomitable, and overall protecting their hearts. The track spent three weeks at the top.

“Tengo Todo Excepto a Ti”
With his powerhouse vocals, Luismi gave life to “Tengo Todo Excepto a Ti” (I have everything but you)—a song charged with meaningful lyrics from a hopeless romantic’s perspective. The song hit No. 1 on the chart dated July 21, 1990, and spent eight weeks at the top.

“Entrégate”
“How dare you look at me like that/To be so beautiful and smile? Mine, today you’ll finally be mine,” Luis Miguel chants in a romantic ballad about landing his dream girl. The song spent one week at No. 1 in November 1990.

Unable to process that a relationship is over and that everything is left in the past, Luis Miguel’s “Ayer” (Yesterday) peaked at No. 1 on the July 17, 1993-dated Hot Latin Songs chart, where it spent three weeks.

“Hasta Que Me Olvides”
With potent love verses such as “Until you forget me/I’m going to love you so much/Like fire in your arms/Until you forget me,” “Hasta Que Me Olvides” peaked at No. 1 on the Oct. 23, 1993, chart and spent three weeks at the top.

“El Día Que Me Quieras”
A metaphorical song using jealous stars, curious fireflies, and a mysterious lightning bolt to describe a love so pure, “El Día Que Me Quieras” spent five weeks at No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs, starting with the chart dated Sept. 17, 1994.

“La Media Vuelta”

In another heartfelt ballad, which spent four weeks at No. 1 in 1997, Luis Miguel pours his heart out: “And you don’t know what you make me feel/That there is no moment that I can be without you/You absorb my space, slowly you make me yours/My pride dies/And I can’t be without you.”

“O Tú o Ninguna”
Topping the Hot Latin Songs chart for one week on Nov. 6, 1999, “O Tú o Ninguna” finds Luis Miguel reminiscing on that special lady and letting her know that there’s no one who can compare to her. “It’s you or no one,” he assures.
