‘Beautiful’ beach crowned best in England and it’s not in Cornwall | Travel News | Travel

Durdle Door on England’s Jurassic Coast is famous for its breathtaking limestone arch, one of the UK’s most iconic landmarks.

The beach is open to the public but visitors should always stick to the stairs as it’s very dangerous to climb on the rocks.

A tourist, ‘BAJ93’ on Tripadvisor, wrote: “Beautiful views, it was worth the trek. We luckily went on a very sunny day.”

Another visitor ‘OLesleyC’ wrote: “Absolutely stunning. A bit of a trek but very happy I did it.”

Tourists can also walk to Lulworth Cove, another beautiful beach, from Durdle Door along a cliffside track.

There is parking at Durdle Door but Britons should be aware that the beach can get very busy during summer.

Europe’s best beach was named as the spectacular Reynisfjara beach in Iceland while Greece’s Navagio took second place.

However, tourists hopping to visit the famous Navagio shipwreck beach might be disappointed this summer.

The beach is closed this summer due to rock fall. However, tourists will still be able to snap a shot from a boat.
