16 It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

16 Seasons

FX/FXX Network Distributions

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has a heaping portion of hilarious antics among friends and family. Between Charlie’s lack of common sense, Dee’s conniving, and the crew’s collective obsession with themselves, you will be crying from laughing so hard.

Don’t forget about Danny DeVito and the other misfits that make up this absolutely wonderful show. Plus, you won’t run out of episodes any time soon with 16 seasons and counting, making it a perfect binge if you can handle watching some of the worst people on television.

15 Letterkenny

11 Seasons

Letterkenny crew sits on Wayne's porch all looking towards the camera.
Hulu/Crave

Not only is this series hilarious on many levels, but it is also a great “friends through thick and thin” show that we all need sometimes. Even the beautiful model-like women who call Letterkenny home get screwed over, cheated on, and end up brokenhearted sometimes.

Letterkenny will have you laughing your socks off, and your woes will be long forgotten as you watch the gang stomp some guys who wronged them—the Canadian way! Pitter-patter. Letterkenny has a number of seasons and specials so viewers won’t run out of episodes anytime soon.

14 Dead To Me

3 Seasons

Two women hold up casserole in Dead to Me
Netflix

It is no secret that best friends are willing to go to great lengths for each other, but while most friendships still have some sort of boundaries, Dead To Me‘s Jen Harding (Christina Applegate) and Judy Hale (Linda Cardellini) seem to have erased that word from their dictionary. It does not matter whether it is about fun activities or, there is really no other way to say it, crimes, these two run head-on into whatever rises in front of them, good or bad.

To be fair, Jen and Judy’s friendship is under a bad spell from the very beginning. Insane circumstances bring the two women together, and even crazier incidents forge a strong bond between them. Whether it is unbreakable or not remains to be seen, but what is promised is the immediate desire to watch the entire three seasons of the Netflix show in one weekend.

13 The Handmaid’s Tale

5 Seasons

The Handmaid's Tale stars June (Elizabeth Moss) and Janine (Madeline Brewer) leaning in toward each other's faces.
Hulu

Based on the novel of the same name by Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid’s Tale imagines a world where a virus causes a steep population decline, causing a puritanical government to rise to power and force still-fertile women to serve as Handmaids to wealthy families.

As horrifying as it is beautiful, this Hulu series will surely leave you ready to fight for your rights as a woman. The Handmaid’s Tale is a show about the horrors of dystopian government and patriarchal societies, but it also has strong undertones of friendship and loyalty. You probably want to look elsewhere if you’re trying to have everyone laughing, though.

12 American Horror Story: Coven

1 Season (of 11)

FX

The third season of the FX anthology series, American Horror Story: Coven follows a coven of witches in New Orleans through power struggles, ancient grudges, and using dark magic to fulfill their deepest desires.

Coven will make you feel like a strong, empowered female while watching these ladies get even with society, men, and each other. It’s also a great introduction to the rest of the anthology series, which has aired 11 seasons.

11 Servant

Season 4

Apple TV+

The men in this frighteningly creepy Apple TV show about a cult, a lost baby, and a woman insane with grief will show you exactly what no one wants in a relationship and why sometimes it’s better to remain single.

The men in Servant lie, hide secrets, cover their tracks with more lies, cheat, and plot against the women in their lives. The young woman at the show’s center is finding herself and her power—but it comes with a hefty price tag.

10 Yellowjackets

2 Seasons

Showtime

Women are potent entities, and this Showtime series embraces the fear and escapism that sometimes comes with power. Nothing is closer to your heart and soul than a pack of friends who know your every secret, and nothing can tear that group apart faster than love and murder.

Yellowjackets are so good that you will want to finish the first season in one sitting. Of course, the second season might then throw fans for a loop, but it’s still a fantastic binge that features a wonderful cast.

9 Deadly Women

14 Seasons

A scene from Deadly Women (2005)
Investigation Discovery

This series might just be the best—and darkest—one on the list. Deadly Women highlights female killers, their motives, and what it took to push these seemingly ordinary ladies to snap and kill. Short-term volatile emotions, such as rage, guilt, and jealousy, often drive men.

However, a woman’s desire to murder is a slow-burning candle, and as time gets longer, the lifeline of the person in their way grows significantly shorter. If you have a lot of true crime fanatics in your friend group, Deadly Women is the perfect pick.

8 Firefly Lane

2 Seasons

firefly lane netflix
Netflix

If there is a show that can top off your Girl’s Night, then it is the drama series Firefly Lane, which was first released in 2021 and consists of a total of two seasons to indulge in. Tully and Kate, two young teenagers who live on the same road, couldn’t be any more different. The former is the definition of a cool girl, while the latter feels like no one ever sees her.

Well, that is until Tully comes along. The show tells the story of their tumultuous yet magical friendship throughout all the stages of their lives. From being inseparable to growing apart or even having a major fall-out, Firefly Lane is among the most hilarious, heart-wrenching, and also most relatable series about friendships ever made.

7 Daria

5 Seasons

A scene from Daria (1997)
MTV

Originally airing on MTV, Daria is a vision of judgment with a comedic undertone. Apathetic teenager Daria (voiced by Tracy Grandstaff) does not care even the slightest about love or such nonsense.

Instead, she’ll guide you through a fine list of ways to appear aloof and uncaring, all while being bitingly hilarious. Nobody is cooler than Daria, though a few other female stars of their own series have challenged her.

6 Marvel’s Jessica Jones

3 Seasons

Krysten Ritter in Jessica Jones (2015)
Netflix

The titular Jessica Jones is strong, independent, fierce, and an abuse survivor—it’s hard not to root for her. Not only does Jessica put the bad guys in their place, but she also makes them fear her unwavering apathy.

Plus, any woman who can put down that much cheap whiskey can most definitely fight off even the worst demons Earth has to offer. Jessica Jones ran for three seasons, plus the character appeared in the Defenders mini-series with other Marvel stars on Netflix.

5 Little Demon

1 Season

A scene from Little Demon (2022)
FX

If you and the ladies have a sense of humor hovering on the darker side and love adult animation, Little Demon is the FX show for you. The series follows Crissy, a high school girl who is hellbent on finding out the truth about her real father—whom her fairly typical mother hates and plans to fight if he ever shows back up.

The dark nature and hilarity of the show will have you and your friends laughing so hard it would make creator and voice star Danny DeVito proud. Even better, Crissy is voiced by DeVito’s real-life daughter, Lucy.

4 Devil in Ohio

1 Season

Mae getting comfortable with Suzanne during their first encounters in Devil in Ohio (2022)
Netflix

This Netflix horror-drama begins with a psychiatrist, Dr. Suzanne Mathis (Emily Deschanel), stepping out of her comfort zone by taking in a young girl who has escaped a cult… but not without serious scars. This engaging and unnerving limited series follows the story of Mae (Madeleine Arthur) as she infiltrates the psychiatrist’s life and home with her odd ways, strange behavior, and desire to be popular.

Dr. Mathis’s daughter, Jules, soon begins to villainize Mae as her friends and romantic interests choose the newcomer as their prom queen and favorite over herself. It is a bit reminiscent of the movie Carrie and will leave you speechless with its twists and turns.

3 Big Little Lies

2 Seasons

Cast of Big Little Lies
Warner Bros.

If there is a show that really screams Girl’s Night, then it is Big Little Lies. Focusing on the lives as well as entanglements of a group of riveting women, the series stars six phenomenal actresses. Laura Dern, Meryl Streep, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Zoë Kravitz, and Shailene Woodley joined forces to bring this gripping story, set in the quaint town of Monterey, to life.

Apart from the outstanding cast, Big Little Lies impresses the masses with its incredible soundtrack and captivating storyline. A shocking murder buries the day-to-day gossip and discord between the main characters, who all turn into suspects, while still trying to navigate through their own obstacles. The fate of each character is unexpected, and the path toward solving all the family’s and town’s mysteries asks for a weekend of binge-watching in amazement.

2 Euphoria

2 Seasons

Chloe Cherry as Faye in Euphoria (2019)
HBO

This award-winning HBO series has so many twists and turns it will leave you needing a moment of silence to digest it all. Euphoria follows high schooler Rue (Zendaya) as she fights social issues, questions her sexuality, and falls deeper and deeper into a pit of drug abuse with no way out.

At the same time, audiences are given a glimpse into the equally rocky lives of her family and friends, navigating adolescence and addiction. While the heavy drug use and thematic content might make Euphoria triggering for some, it’s a fantastic show featuring great characters that also paints a painfully realistic picture that’ll leave you on the edge of your seat.

1 The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window

1 Season

A scene from The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window (2022)
Netflix

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window is a weirdly creepy Netflix show with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing until the very end. It isn’t a long series and can easily be digested in one sitting with the ladies.

It’s a whodunit with a slightly romantic twist but it’s only a minor plot point and far from a typical cheesy romance. This is a movie to reaffirm your instincts and makes you promise to never second guess yourself. Plus, it has Kristen Bell in it—always a safe choice for girls’ night.
