An Ireland fan was allegedly gang raped in Bordeaux during the opening weekend of the Rugby World Cup, according to reports in French media.

Police are looking for three men in connection with the attack.

Afterwards, the woman was found in the street by a group of Welsh supporters, according to media reports, who apparently helped her back to her accommodation.

The alleged attack is said to have taken place in the Saint-Pierre district, close to where she was staying.

Three individuals seized her and led her to rue du Puits Descazaux, according to a police report quoted by Le Parisien.
