Jamie Raskin lies like Adam Schiff on Joe Biden bribe probe

With Rep. Adam Schiff busy running for the Senate, House Democrats needed someone else to play Pinocchio, and the winner is Maryland’s Jamie Raskin.

Raskin just got called out for lying about a trusted FBI informant’s allegations that Joe Biden accepted a $5 million bribe while serving as vice president.

The FBI closed the case years ago, he claimed after a confidential briefing by the bureau’s chief.

Specifically, Raskin insisted that then-US Attorney General Bill Barr “determined there was no grounds to escalate from an initial assessment to a preliminary investigation” and “called an end” to any probe because there was no suspicion of “criminal activity.”

Oops: “It’s not true,” Barr soon announced.

“It wasn’t closed down. On the contrary, it was sent to Delaware for further investigation.”

An honest Raskin mistake?

No: He reportedly was told several times in the FBI briefing that the case is still open.

Yet he’s holding firm, insisting with sociopathic fervor that, no, his lie is actually true.

In short, he’s doing his darnedest to fill the giant clown shoes of chronically dishonest Schiff — who made a cottage industry out of misrepresenting what happened in high-level closed-door meetings (in his case, on the nonexistent Trump-Russia collusion he insists was real).

And, just as with Schiff, Raskin can count on most media to repeat his every lie.

Liberal institutions seem utterly uninterested in the fact that Raskin is blatantly running interference for the president.

And in finding out if there even is anything real to the claim — a troubling one, given the Biden family’s long and documented history of peddling Joe’s influence.

Dems and their journo allies are desperate to write off the whole affair with no proper investigation.

Apparently just like the FBI itself.

The bureau, to judge by the repeated refusal of chief Christopher Wray to hand over the file under Rep. James Comer’s legally binding subpoena, seems equally eager to stonewall — or at the very least slow walk — this investigation into oblivion.

Compliant media make that all the easier

The loser?

The American people — and that whole democracy thing Dems are always going on about.
