How To Attach a Horse To a Wagon In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Attaching a horse to a wagon in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be a troublesome task if players do not know the proper procedure to follow or how to use the game’s new mechanics. The sequel to Zelda: Breath of the Wild evolves many of the previous title’s gameplay features and introduces a series of new tools for Link to use in his adventures throughout Hyrule.

A certain combination of these tools can allow the hero to link a horse to a wagon. This, in turn, can be used by players to transport many items or passengers to certain destinations without overloading their inventories, for example. The possibilities of creations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are nearly endless, so even how players use wagons can vary significantly.

Equip The Towing Harness On A Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Horse

Attaching a horse to a wagon may not be obvious if players do not know where to look. Luckily, however, it is straightforward to do. The first action that players need to complete, as demonstrated by No-Nonsense Guides on YouTube, is to take Link to a stable and have the hero of Hyrule interact with the venue’s clerk. This will open up some horse-related options. Next, players will want to click on the “Customize horse” button, allowing them to change the creature’s equipment in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

From there, players will have to equip the Towing Harness item on the horse. This is vital to connect the horse to a wagon. If players use a simple saddle on a horse in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they will not be able to attach a wagon to it, as there will be no point in connecting with the upcoming step. To unlock the Towing Harness, players need to claim the item at any stable after they collect 3 Pony Points.

The best way to get Pony Points in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is by making Link sleep at the stables.

How To Use Ultrahand To Connect The Horse To A Wagon In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

A screenshot from No-Nonsense Guides' YouTube channel, showing a Link using the Ultrahand ability to connect a horse and a wagon in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Once players equip the Towing Harness, they can attach the horse to a wagon. The next step is taking the horse out of the stable and placing them near the wagon they want to use. Once that has been done, players need only activate the Ultrahand ability in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and use it to connect the Towing Harness’ end to the wagon.

With the two pieces stuck together, players will have connected their horses to the wagon and can then use the animal to move the vehicle around. They should stay connected until the Ultrahand ability’s effect is manually undone or if some tragic accident were to happen, such as a miscalculated jump that results in the wagon’s destruction or the horse’s death in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
